Don't Waste Your Valuable Time Searching for Home

In the past, buyer’s would drive around and look at homes then call a Realtor to assist them. That has all changed with the Internet and companies like Realtor.com, Zillow & Trulia. Now more than 90 percent of all buyers search the Internet for homes before calling a Realtor. My question is why?

Did you know that a Realtor can setup a home search for you based on the criteria you want in a home and have it sent directly to your email address. After the initial email, every home that hits the market that fits the home criteria you gave the Realtor will be sent directly to you. It’s that simple! If you’re not sure if you want a three or four bedroom, the Realtor just sets up the search to send you homes with three to four bedrooms. You don’t even have to speak to the Realtor although I suggest you do. You can email the Realtor your search criteria and he/she will be glad to setup a search for you. If you did not add enough information and the Realtor emails you back, he/she is just trying to be thorough in setting up your search. Answer them back with the necessary information. Better yet! Pick up the phone and call them or ask them to call you. Open communication is the key to a good working relationship.

If you like looking at homes on the Internet and do not consider this to be a waste of time, that’s great. I would rather save you some time and setup the search for you. This way you can open the email when you want and look at the homes. Keep in mind there are a few things that cannot be added to the search criteria. Most of them have to do with wants more than needs. For example does the home have a doggy door or is there a view from the Master Bedroom. If these items are not in the pictures, then someone will physically need to view the home to see if they exist.  I'll be glad to do that.

Buying a home can and should be a fun experience. Let me make it easier and less time consuming for you by setting up a home search. You’re probably wondering why so many homes you view on the Internet do not have pictures in them. Please read my earlier blog on this subject…
